PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Russia national team footballer Alexander Mostovoi has advised Eduard Spertsyan, the midfielder of FC Krasnodar and Armenia's national team, to move to Saudi Arabia.
"If he asked me about Saudi Arabia, I would advise him to go. The salary there would be 10 times higher, while in Europe he may not even get to play," the former footballer said, according to Metaratings.
Earlier, football agent Timur Gurtskaya reported that Spertsyan had received an offer from one of Saudi Arabia's leading clubs.
"A move to Saudi Arabia is realistic. Competition at European clubs is very strong, and they will not pay huge sums, while in Saudi Arabia money is not counted. Yes, Spertsyan has said he wants to play in Europe, but he still has no such offers. He may not play in Europe, and he may not play in Saudi Arabia either, but the money will be much greater. Besides, there is always the option of returning to Russia. If there were an offer from Spain worth one million euros, from France worth one and a half million euros, and from Saudi Arabia worth ten million euros, I would choose the latter and go there with him," Mostovoi added.
Transfermarkt estimates Spertsyan's market value at 25 million.
Eduard Spertsyan's contract with FC Krasnodar runs until June 30, 2029. He appeared in all matches of the Russian Premier League season, scoring 13 goals and providing 16 assists.
