RAS AL KHAIMAH, 29th July, 2022 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has said that education is the cornerstone of the UAE's sustainable development and the main driver behind future successes and efforts to improve the quality of life for Emirati citizens, and enable them to make be active contributors to development.

The UAE's primary focus is preparing a generation of citizens capable of shaping a better future, he added.

Sheikh Saud made this statement today during a meeting, held at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City, with Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, with the attendance of Sheikha Amneh bint Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Ras Al Khaimah Investment and Development Office.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saud was briefed about the plans and programmes of the Ministry of Education aimed at advancing the UAE's education system.

He then lauded the ministry's work and highlighted the importance of creating an integrated education system, in line with the UAE's aspirations to be among the world's leading countries in the field of education.
