Musharraf impeachment proceedings to go ahead

Saudi Arabia News.Net
Thursday 7th August, 2008

Impeachment proceedings against President Pervez Musharraf have been initiated in Pakistan by the ruling coalition government.

The coalition parties have discussed the issue for three days, causing Mr Musharaff to cancel then re-instate his visit to the Chinese Olympics.

He has now decided not to go.

One of the main issues is the government's wish to reinstate the supreme court justices sacked by the president last year.

Mr Musharraf is at loggerheads with the PML-N and the PPP parties on a series of issues.

The PPP is the party of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, who was killed at the end of last year.

The PML-N is led by Nawaz Sharif, another former government leader.

I note that some post are howling. From the outside looking in it seems Mush is not done yet. As some one said on post. He’s an escape artist. He dose’nt seem like a dictator. He’s a man of reason thats for sure. Looking forward to outcome.

Wake-up Pakistan

Nawaz Sharif & Asif Zardari should be grateful to Musharraf for allowing them to return back to Pakistan. They should also be thankful to him for conducting free & fair elections due to which their parties managed to come into power. These two crooks and their parties should have been banned for life from polictics in Pakistan. These two dumb-head politicians are trying to protect their personal interests, not the interests of Pakistan. The going away of Musharraf will not change things in Pakistan since the mismanagement of resources is being done by the ruling party. What Pakistan really needs is a solid Dictator who steps in with an iron fist to ban all political parties and place Pakistan back on the track of economic progress. Both of these traitors of Pakistan should be put on trial and hanged in public for looting the wealth of the country.

wake-up Pakistan

I totally agree with subutageen. The people who need to impeached are the once howling for the impeachment of Musharraf. Hanging is not enough for these thugs they need to be lynched and dragged in the streets. They are the ones who had been robbing and cheating and these are the people who are still busy doing the same.

Unlike the black Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama wants American people to swap more US combat troops (from Iraq) to fight his Obama’s Afghanistan War; the 2008 Presidential Hopeful Sen. JOHN McCAIN’s 2009 McCAIN administration in White House will ...
The 2009 McCAIN administration will re-evaluate US-Pakistan foreign aid to Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf; and will re-evaluate US-Afghanistan foreign aid to Afghan President Hamid Karzai. We can smell they are fishy too.
The 1st year of 2009 McCAIN administration in White House, U.S. will provide more pilot-less “IKHANA” patrols and increase US Air Force’s air-power to assist NATO’s combat forces deploy to reduce the risks of American soldiers' bodybags to come home.
