Civil strife in Lebanon - Bush offers help
Saudi Arabia News.Net Monday 12th May, 2008
Deadly sectarian violence has plunged Lebanon further into crisis.
Fierce fighting has again erupted in northern Lebanon with at least one person killed in the northern port city of Tripoli.
Lebanon has been rocked by six days of fighting between supporters of the Western-backed government and Hezbollah-led opposition, which is backed by Syria and Iran.
59 people have been reported killed with more than 200 injured.
In the worst unrest since the 1975-1990 civil war, the violence started after the government, led by Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, suspended the head of security at Beirut International airport and announced a judicial enquiry into Hezbollah's communications network on the grounds that it was endangering national security.
Hezbollah's leader, Hasan Nasrallah, accused the government of declaring war against his Shi'ite militia group and ordered his fighters to take over the capital.
Meanwhile, US President George Bush has told the BBC he would be prepared to help strengthen Lebanon's army so it can disarm Hezbollah.
In an interview, Mr Bush said the Shia Muslim Hezbollah movement had acted against its own people and was destabilising Lebanon.
He made the remarks ahead of a trip to the Middle East later this week.

ALL MEN ARE BROTHERS. BE FREE THINKERS OR PEACEFUL BUDDHISTS.
With all the fighting going on by the muslims goaded on by the christians, why don’t all of us be of a neutral shade,be free thinkers. But if you need to have a religion, then be peaceful buddhists. Just imagine cleansing your body and soul with meditation and peaceful thoughts and looking for the god within you.

Civil strife in Lebanon - Bush offers help
You can not help those people who do not need help. The clergy of the muslim sect would like to take control of Lebanon as a whole. When there is a private army in a country it denotes civil war and will happen sooner or later and now it is happening today in Lebanon. It will be killing after killing and inocent people will be killed needlessly.Soon it will be Islamic republic of Hezbollah. They do not mind killing his own people as long they could achieved their goal to conquer.

Campaign for free speech
It seems that the whole world has turned a blind eye on an essential event in this latest round: the forced closure by Hezbollah of one newspaper, one TV station and a couple of radion stations - including one in the Armenian language - which had all spoken against its policies. No matter where you may stand politically, bloggers and Internet commenters, what would you say if someone took your right to write and comment freely away from you? Hezbollah just did that. A little outrage and a vast Internet campaign condemning this attack on free speech is is order. Get cracking.
